The Huawei Luxury MPV push has expanded with the launch of the MAEXTRO V800 and V680, two flagship models aimed at China’s ultra-premium people-mover market. The debut matters globally because it shows Huawei’s automotive alliance moving beyond software and Smart driving assistance into a segment traditionally controlled by established Japanese and European luxury brands.
MAEXTRO, a brand within Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility (HIMA) alliance and developed with JAC, launched both models on August 5. The V800 targets top-tier executive transport, while the shorter V680 is positioned for family buyers and lighter business use.

Huawei Luxury MPV Pricing and Positioning
The MAEXTRO V800 is priced from RMB 766,000 to RMB 1.016 million, equivalent to approximately $106,400 to $141,100 at an exchange rate of RMB 7.2 per US dollar. The V680 is priced at RMB 648,000, or about $90,000.
Those prices place the V800 directly against premium imported MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard and Mercedes-Benz V-Class in China. The V680 is aimed more closely at domestic high-end alternatives, including the Zeekr 009 and Buick Century.
This is not a direct rival to crossovers such as the Tesla Model Y or Hyundai Ioniq 5. Rather than focusing on the global electric SUV formula, MAEXTRO is targeting buyers seeking chauffeur-oriented rear-cabin space, business-use flexibility, and extensive luxury equipment.

A Large MPV With a Rear-Cabin Focus
At 5,495 mm long with a 3,430-mm wheelbase, the V800 is built around interior volume. MAEXTRO quotes 3,856 mm of effective cabin length, 1,138 mm of second-row legroom, and more than 1.4 meters of legroom in its four-seat configuration when the second-row seats are moved rearward.
The V800’s third row includes ventilation, heating, and massage functions, while the seats can be fully power-folded. The second row can recline to a maximum zero-gravity angle of 150 degrees.

Its cabin technology includes a scroll-style interactive starlight roof and a 41.6-inch rear projection display. A private beverage system can prepare coffee or tea on command, while a concealed electric shoe compartment is claimed to remove 90% of odors in 15 minutes.
MAEXTRO also developed an “emotional energy cabin” with the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. The system uses a 0.8-Hz physical music rhythm designed to promote relaxation; the company claims an average 10-bpm reduction in heart rate during deep-sleep mode testing.
800V Architecture, Chassis, and Smart Driving Assistance
The V800 uses Huawei’s new-generation Tuling Longxing platform, combining an 800V architecture, fully active suspension, steer-by-wire, and rear-wheel steering. MAEXTRO states that the system provides a maximum lift force of 12,000 N at each wheel.
With rear-wheel steering angles of up to +/-12 degrees, the company quotes a 5.4-meter turning radius for the 5.5-meter-long MPV. The chassis can also use independent high-frequency movement from all four wheels to help the vehicle free itself when stuck.

For active safety, the V800 offers Huawei Qiankun ADS 5 Smart driving assistance and a 40-sensor, all-direction fused-perception system. Its body uses an 11-by-11 structural layout, while high-strength steel and magnesium-aluminum materials account for 88.2% of the structure, according to MAEXTRO.
The front and rear crash beams are made of aerospace-grade 7-series aluminum, and the vehicle has 14 airbags plus five layers of redundant door-unlocking safety provisions. Exterior technology includes dual one-million-pixel full-color projection headlights and a rear interactive light bar with 5,032 LEDs.
