The Zeekr 9X has gained a new five-seat version for China’s RMB 500,000-plus luxury SUV segment. The launch matters to global buyers because it illustrates how Chinese automakers are pairing high-voltage hybrid hardware with rear-cabin features more commonly associated with executive sedans and premium MPVs.
Zeekr positions the 9X Five-Seat Version for buyers who need chauffeur-grade second-row comfort without giving up large-SUV cargo capacity. The company says the broader 9X line has led China’s RMB 500,000-class large-SUV segment for seven consecutive months, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 70,000.
Zeekr 9X Price and Market Position
Zeekr did not disclose an official price for the Five-Seat Version in the supplied announcement. It said the 9X line has achieved an average transaction price above RMB 530,000, equivalent to more than $73,600 at an exchange rate of RMB 7.2 per US dollar.
That figure places the 9X in a markedly different tier from mainstream electric crossovers such as the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5. The Zeekr is more closely aligned with the large luxury SUV market, where rear-seat comfort, cabin refinement, and high-speed long-distance capability carry greater weight.

The company quotes up to 1.4 meters of second-row legroom. Both outer second-row seats offer zero-gravity functionality and Eames lounge-chair modes, joined by a power-operated center armrest that can open, close, and stop at any position.
Rear-cabin equipment includes a 6.5-liter private storage compartment, a 6.3-inch OLED control screen, a 9-liter heated and cooled refrigerator, dual executive tables, and a retractable charging cable. Soft Nappa leather covers high-contact seating areas throughout the cabin.
The front seats and outer second-row seats use 10-zone support, 22-point tapping and kneading massage, four-way adaptive lumbar support, and high-rebound foam. A 3,868-watt Naim audio system includes 30 speakers, Dolby Atmos support, and a 7.2.4.8 surround-sound layout.

900V Hybrid System and Chassis Hardware
The Zeekr 9X combines a 900V architecture, a 6C hybrid battery, three electric motors, a 2.0-liter dedicated hybrid engine, and a high-power range-extender generator. Zeekr claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 3.1 seconds and reach 240 km/h.
The company says the 0-100 km/h result changes by only 0.2 seconds when the battery is depleted. Zeekr also claims that the battery can charge from 20% to 80% in nine minutes; during 120-km/h highway operation with a depleted battery, it says the state of charge can increase from 30% to 80% in 90 minutes.
The Haohan-S platform includes closed dual-chamber air suspension, dual-valve CCD electromagnetic dampers, an active stabilizer bar, and the AI-powered Dinghai Intelligent Hub chassis controller. Zeekr also lists full-scenario tire-blowout control, crosswind stability control, and terrain recognition for seven surface types, including deep snow, mud, and sand.
For ADAS / Smart driving assistance, the 9X offers Zeekr’s G-ASD 4.0 system in H7 and H9 configurations. The Super EVA intelligent agent supports cabin interaction through the 16-inch OLED center display, passenger displays, and rear sliding screen.
