Li Auto put the new-generation MEGA on the table on September 2. The vehicle is offered in a single Home trim at a nationwide uniform retail price of 509,800 yuan ($76,090). Only two factory options exist: Elephant Gray paint for 10,000 yuan ($1,493), and 270-degree electric color-changing glass for 15,000 yuan ($2,239). Nothing else is available to configure.
Single Trim, Straightforward Pricing
The previous-generation MEGA held the number-one sales position in the over-500,000-yuan MPV segment on the strength of rotating zero-gravity seats and generous cabin space, posting a net promoter score of 81.8. The new-generation Li Auto MEGA does not abandon those foundations — body styling, interior space, and 5C supercharging remain central — but deepens development along three new directions: cabin refinement, driving agility, and intelligent driving assistance.
Eliminating high and low trim levels is unusual in the 500,000-yuan MPV class. The benefit to buyers is direct: no comparing option tables, no concern that a subsequent software push will unlock features exclusive to a trim they did not choose. For Li Auto, a single configuration concentrates the supply chain and tightens production scheduling, focusing all available effort on one finished product.
The standard equipment list supports the asking price. Every new MEGA includes the 108 kWh ternary lithium 5C battery, front-and-rear dual-motor AWD, steer-by-wire with rear-wheel steering, the 800V active anti-roll magic carpet suspension, the dual Mach embodied intelligence suite, front and rear OLED screens, and the 5,440W audio system. At comparable price points, most of these are typically restricted to the top-of-range variant; here they are fitted to every car.
Launch-period purchase benefits include a complimentary combination dining table for all order-placing buyers. Buyers who select the Flying Saucer wheel option receive both a deep-space gray and a panda white set simultaneously — no need to choose between them. Returning Li Auto owners receive the 270-degree electric dimming glass, valued at 15,000 yuan ($2,239), at no charge.

Cabin Upgrades: Bringing the Home Inside
The interior is available in two color schemes: white-gray dual-tone or brown-coffee dual-tone. Door panels carry a perforated texture, ambient lighting runs continuously from the dashboard through to the third row, and door handles, air conditioning vents, and speaker covers are treated as integrated design elements. Individually none of these changes is decisive, but together they produce a tangible improvement in perceived cabin quality.
The most distinctive new feature is the Home Light ceiling lamp. It outputs 3,500K warm light through 396 LEDs with a soft diffused surface treatment. Touch buttons in the second and third rows allow independent brightness adjustment. The center section of the lamp is a no-hole light-transmitting starfield ambient element that continues to glow softly after the main light is turned off.
On either side, panoramic train-style windows have independently controlled left and right electric sunshades — one side can be drawn without affecting the other. Combined with the front sunroof, the vehicle has three independent sunroofs and three electric sunshades. Second-row side window shades are upgraded from manual to electric operation, bringing the total number of electric shades in the cabin to five.
The second-row rotating zero-gravity seats are upgraded with floating-cushion technology. The floating layer runs from the shoulder area down through the legs, with the support zones on both sides separated from the floating layer. The backrest and cushion are softer than before without losing support. Nappa leather is stitched in an air diamond-grid pattern in which each cell has its own compression space, giving a more three-dimensional sit feel that resists long-term deformation. Three soft cushions are fitted as standard — headrest, lumbar, and leg support — with the headrest and leg cushion including integrated heating.
Rotating zero-gravity positioning, floating-cushion technology, blow-and-suction ventilation, full-coverage heating, and an 18-point hot-stone massage are all combined in the single second-row seat.

The front row is equipped with standard dual zero-gravity seats that recline fully while parked, without requiring the occupant to move to the rear cabin. The third row gains seat ventilation, meaning all three rows now offer both ventilation and heating. Heated surfaces extend to the steering wheel, headrests, leg supports, first-row door armrests, the center armrest, and dual second-row seat armrests, for a total of 31 heated contact points throughout the cabin.
The two new electric tray tables in the second row use eight gear stages and self-leveling adjustment, so the surface remains horizontal when the front seat reclines. A cup left on the table will not spill when the seat ahead is adjusted. The anti-pinch function responds to light contact and springs open automatically, leaving a safe clearance for hands. The combination dining table uses a magnesium-aluminum alloy frame with a leather covering. Stowed, it serves as a compact side table with a magnetic fixture point for a tissue box. With both side fold-out panels deployed it becomes a full dining table, without requiring repeated leg assembly.
Chassis Improvements for a Large Vehicle
The previous generation’s suspension comfort was already well regarded. The new generation retains that quality while addressing two MPV-specific pain points: limited turn agility and excessive body roll in corners.
Steer-by-wire and rear-wheel steering are standard. The rear axle has been redesigned to cut the turning radius from 6.2 meters to 5.5 meters — the same figure as the Li Auto i6. For an MPV over 5.3 meters long, 5.5 meters of turning radius means easier U-turns on narrow roads, more confident parking structure entries and exits, and less stress in parallel parking. Steer-by-wire offers two selectable steering ratios — standard and sensitive. Rear-wheel steering provides agile and stable modes.
The core upgrade is the 800V active anti-roll magic carpet suspension, made up of dual-chamber air springs, dual-valve CDC continuously variable damping shock absorbers, and an 800V active anti-roll bar. The active anti-roll bar responds in 30 milliseconds, actively restraining body lean in corners. In ISO 3888-1 emergency lane-change testing at 120 km/h the body posture remained stable.

The 800V active anti-roll bar also enables the Elephant Welcome boarding function. The body tilts within 1.5 seconds, dropping the door sill by 3 centimeters while the second-row seat simultaneously rotates 45 degrees. After the door closes, the car returns to level in 1.5 seconds — faster than conventional air suspension. The feature is designed to ease entry and exit for children and older passengers.
Intelligent Technology at Flagship Level
The intelligent cockpit is built on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 chip. The front display is a 29-inch 6K panoramic OLED. The rear screen is a 21-inch 4K mobile OLED that opens and closes electrically and slides 120 mm forward or rearward to put it within reach. The cabin volume of 6,600 liters provides the acoustic space to support the rear-cabin cinema experience.
The audio system is a 9.3.6 Star Ring Theater configuration rated at 5,440 watts peak output from 33 speakers: 29 cabin speakers and 4 headrest speakers. Dolby Atmos, independent front and rear dual panoramic Atmos zones, and the Livis Pods spatial audio headrest system are all included. Occupants in different rows can listen to separate audio simultaneously.
The dual Mach embodied intelligence suite is standard on every car. It consists of two Mach M100 chips, four LiDAR sensors with a three-color star ring light system — one front-facing ATL-P high-performance LiDAR, two side solid-state variable-focus LiDAR units, and one rear solid-state variable-focus LiDAR — plus eight UWB high-precision near-field radars and a 360-degree omnidirectional visual perception system. This hardware specification, according to the source, places the MEGA in the first tier of the current market. The Mach VLA 2.0 update has already been pushed live, enabling full-scenario navigation-assisted driving, VLA command parking, and VLA automatic charging.

Proven Powertrain With 710 km CLTC Range
The three-electric system carries over the mature package from the previous generation without significant changes. The 108 kWh ternary lithium 5C battery supports over 520 kW of charging power, replenishing 500 km of range in 10 minutes. CLTC combined range is 710 km, equivalent to an estimated 568–604 km on a WLTP basis.
The dual-motor intelligent AWD system pairs a front 155 kW asynchronous induction motor with a rear 258 kW permanent-magnet synchronous motor for a combined output of 413 kW and 657 Nm. The 0–100 km/h sprint takes 4.9 seconds. CLTC energy consumption is 15.9 kWh per 100 km, described as among the lower figures in the four-wheel-drive electric MPV class. The drag coefficient is 0.215, confirmed in aerodynamic wind tunnel testing by the China Automotive Research Institute and described as a leading figure among MPVs.
Acoustic insulation combines a front windshield dual-layer sound-insulating silver-coated glass, dual-layer sound-insulating side window glass across all three rows, and an active road noise cancellation system.

Body dimensions are unchanged at 5,355 mm long, 1,965 mm wide, and 1,850 mm tall, with a 3,300 mm wheelbase and a seven-seat 2-2-3 layout. Li Auto has held the exterior the same size and directed all upgrade effort to what happens inside it.
